This „Special Vehicle" was taken over by Alexander Graham Bell, the founder of Bell Telecomunnication company.

Mr. Bell needed the car for his overland business trips. He was a very busy man.

Cadillac built this car together with the coachbuilder P. Kimball (Chicago). The car was very well insulated to maintain a good temperature inside. It has 10 double glazed windows. A brand new heating system was built in the car. If it is very cold, and the engine isn’t running, the driver can start an integrated burner to heat the interior. Also the burner can be used as a kitchen oven with 3 flames. This oven is outside of the vehicle, in the front of the radiator cowling. If you don’t know this, you can’t see it.

In the car there are many places for kitchen pots, tableware and other useful items for long travel in unpopulated areas.

In the back is an insulated, covered galvanised luggage boot. In this boot you can put ice. This is the „freezer". It was used as a refrigerator for drinks and food, and also for air conditioning in the car. There are 2 ventilators for air circulation.

The car is able to transport 7 passengers. The Interior is constructed by Pullman. The separate seats are fully adjustable. The integrated folded table can be used for eating, gambling and drinking. This leaves the back seat free for the passengers to sit and use the table.

Also 2 people can sleep on the backseat. All windows are decorate with drapes and blinds.

2 vases of flowers decorate the room, the complete interior is lit with different lamps and switches.

The pneumatic shock absorbers were a new invention. These shock absorbers was built by the Westinghouse company. The vehicle is very comfortable. The basic idea of this shock absorber was that with a speed of 25- 30 mph, a water filled glass would not spill over.

And important: Alexander Graham Bell`s phone company was very successful, so without doubt ...

The car has the first automobile phone on the world! This phone works as follows:

In a box on the car are 2 climbing irons. The driver was able, with these irons, to climb up telegraph poles and connect phone lines to the cables. In the car was the „phone".

This exclusive car was first seen in 1973 at a Classic Car Show in England. A German collector bought it and still owns it today.

This car is in original condition!
