 This vehicle is a 1948 Buick Special Sedanet 2 Door, the same type as the one that was on the Peking-Paris 1997, except that this one is not the export model. The vehicle is an original California car that spent all its life in that region and in this case the car is in exceptional condition. The vehicle was brought to Japan in 2005 by the owner.
There is absolutely no rust, not even light surface rust on the frame or body. The interior has been redone to new condition, and the engine has been rebuilt. The body has been professionally re-painted and all chrome parts re-chromed, including the interior., radio, knobs etc. All glass (except the back window which is curved) has been changed to new. All weather-stripping, wire harness has been changed to new one as well.
Also here are the other parts restored/upgrade: zinc-plated wheel and repainted them new wheel hubcaps Changed master cylinder, brake fluid New 6volts Alternator (charges at idle, unlike the old generator system) New 6 volts electrical radiator cooling fan (to be safe in summer traffic jams in a big Asian city) New rear springs, front end king pin and bearings. New wheel bearings and seals, and rear axle bearings& seals New 6 v Battery Very recent tires ) The engine runs great and the car can be driven anywhere.
